About the role

Witchampton CE First School is looking for a Teaching Assistant G5 to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?

Actual Salary £8,921 - £9,063 per annum (Grade 5)

This job is Part Time - Term Time Only  for 15 hours per week and 39 weeks per year.

It is offered on a Temporary basis until 22/07/26

Approximate start date 13-Apr-2026.

We are looking for someone who can support the SEND needs of pupils, you will be supporting on both a 1:1 basis and in a group to pupils with disability, learning difficulty or behavioural problems. Please see the job description and person specification for more detailed skills, knowledge and experience required.

Ideally, we would like to appoint someone who has previous experience of supporting the SEND needs of pupils.

The hours of work for this post are 11.30am until 2.30pm 5 days per week which may be subject to change according to business need. A clean driving licence and your own transport is essential for travel across the Trust’s multiple sites and schools.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
