Queen Elizabeth is looking for a Teacher of Mathematics to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic professional to join our upper school. We are on a journey of rapid improvement and want inquisitive, positive, dynamic and resilient colleagues to join our excellent Mathematics department.

Our thriving department is currently recruiting for a Teacher of Mathematics. The department is very well-resourced and there will be the opportunity to teach across all Key Stages.

Ideally, we would like to appoint someone who has:

  • An awareness of Rosenshine’s principles of instruction
  • An understanding of key substantive and disciplinary concepts in Mathematics
  • An awareness of some of the concepts explored in Tom Sherrington’s ‘Walkthru’ series or Doug Lemov’s ‘Teach Like a Champion’ series.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

Queen Elizabeth school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
