About the role

About the Role

Do you want to make a real difference to housing provision in Dorset? We’re driving forward an ambitious programme to create more affordable and supported homes for people who need them most — and we’re looking for someone who wants to be part of that journey.

You’ll work with the Senior Housing Funding and Delivery Officer to develop high‑quality funding bids and support the delivery of successful housing projects. Your work will help unlock new accommodation options and support services that improve lives across the county.

You’ll be joining a positive, supportive, and energetic team. We work flexibly, stay connected through regular catch‑ups, and collaborate closely using Microsoft Teams and in‑person sessions

What you can expect to be doing:

  • Working within the Housing Enabling and Delivery Team to provide project support for the development, submission, and delivery of funding bids, including supporting senior officers throughout the process.
  • Collaborating with a range of partners and external agencies to ensure the successful delivery of key project elements involving Council stakeholders.
  • Working closely with internal services to support the development and delivery of new accommodation schemes or refurbishment projects, ensuring all project components are effectively coordinated.
  • Planning, organising, and delivering project-related events and workshops.

About you:

The experience, knowledge and skills for this role are specified in detail in the Person Specification and Job Description, but we are looking for someone who is organised, flexible and can meet the demands of a busy work schedule and make sure deadlines are met.

  • Enjoys working with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent IT skills, with previous experience of maintaining databases.
  • Good investigative, interpretation and administration skills.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of the team
